VP, Ticket Sales

PH: 718-720-9265 x 207

Cohen worked for the Frisco RoughRiders from December 2003 until being promoted to Vice President of Ticket Sales in Staten Island in November 2006. As a Corporate Marketing Manager, Cohen was a top salesperson for the RoughRiders, who have finished in the top 10 in attendance in all of Minor League Baseball each of the last three years. Cohen's performance and energy was contagious, and was promoted to Senior Corporate Marketing Manager after just one year. Under this role, Cohen was responsible for continuing education of the RoughRiders Sales Staff. In addition, Cohen was directly responsible for mentoring a number of less experienced sales people, specifically focusing on networking and referral generation. Jason Cohen is originally from Suffern, New York. He originally joined the RoughRiders in August 2003 bringing six years of experience within the sports industry. Cohen came to the RoughRiders via the Arena Football League's New Jersey Gladiators. As their marketing manager, he was responsible for overseeing the teams' marketing initiatives including community development, merchandise operations and grassroots marketing. Prior to joining the Gladiators, he spent two years at ESPN as a publicist for Cirillo World Communications, did promotional marketing for GMR Marketing, served as the Operations Coordinator for NBC's first Gravity Games and as a radio publicist for the Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, California. Cohen has completed internships with NBC Sports Business Development and Fox Sports Media Relations. He is also proud to have been among a select few to participate in the Walt Disney World College Program. Cohen graduated from the University of Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science from the nationally renowned Sport Management program. While attending UMass, Cohen did radio play-by-play for several men's basketball games during their famed Final Four season in 1996. Having grown up in New York, Cohen enjoys rooting for his favorite professional sports teams, which of course are all from New York. He currently resides in Staten Island with his wife Norma.
