Yankees 5th round draft pick in 2007.  Named All-West Coast Conference in 2007.  In the 2007 season at Pepperdine University, he had a 5-3 record with a 2.90 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 68.1 innings pitched.   Was used as both a starter and out of the bullpen at Pepperdine.  Played in the Clark Griffith Collegiate League in Summer 2006 where he posted a 4-2 record and 1.10 ERA with one complete game.  In 49.0 innings pitched at the Clark Griffith Collegiate League Olbrychowski had 56 strikeouts and allowed only 28 hits and 17 walks.
